CentOS-8: Firewalld Not Starting

Hello everyone, When I try to start firewalld in CentOS-8 it refuses with this in the
/var/log/firewalld, any suggestions?

modprobe: ERROR: Error running install command for nf_conntrack modprobe: ERROR: could not insert ‘nf_conntrack’: Operation not permitted

2019-12-11 19:11:25 ERROR: Raising SystemExit in run_server

  • Are you running CentOS 8 on a hosting provider that uses OpenVZ or similar container-like VPSs? What does “uname -r” report?

    I ask because it looks like your system can’t load the kernel modules required to set up a firewall.
