Dear all,

1. Is it possible to convert CentOS iso file to vmlinuz, initrd and rfs_raw.img.

2. Can I use only vmlinux, initrd and rfs_raw.img to install via pxeboot.

Please share your information regarding this.

Thanks and regards Dilip Kumar B

Perhaps you should speak to either co-workers or your instructors, and learn the difference and contents of an .iso vs vminuz, etc. At the least, you need to read a book about linux.

mark, surly, not here to do your job, or your googling, for you for free

  • Loop mount the ISO, and locate the files you want.

    OR:
    On your preferred mirror, under
/os//images/pxeboot/, you’ll find the files you want. That doesn’t mean you can’t get the files from an ISO, but why do that when you can retrieve just what you need?
